Arianna was feeling pretty sick, and it was obvious she had a concussion. She was going in and out of consciousness, and they were going to run some tests. Jackson appeared again in the midst of her vomiting and he held her head and whispered to her.

“Easy, sweetie, I got you. You’re safe and this will pass,” he said. She wished she hadn’t eaten lunch, and that was when she remembered the lunch meeting, Carmine and how happy and excited she was to tell her sisters about it. To tell Jackson and his brothers too, which shocked her. She couldn’t even respond any quicker than she did to that accident. She wasn’t even fifteen minutes from home.

He wiped her mouth and finally she felt like she had nothing left in her system. She lay back and felt the tears leak from her eyes. He caressed her hair and kept talking to her.

“You’re going to be all right. They’ll take you to run some more tests, make sure that the concussion isn’t worse, okay?”

“Thank you, Jackson.”

“Let’s get a better look at the cuts while we wait for them to come get you for the testing,” the doctor said after he looked into her eyes. He placed a sheet under her so that her bottom wasn’t exposed as she moved to her side. She held on to Jackson’s hand as the doctor helped to clean out the wound. She could barely open her eyes, the exhaustion worse, the aches and pains making her moan softly. She could feel the stinking pain and then heard the deep voices.

“Is she okay? How bad?” Was that Dustin? She couldn’t open her eyes and she was nauseous and wanted to puke again.

She felt a hand on her thigh and knee.

“Does she need stitches, Doc?” Weston asked.

“No, I don’t think so but she will need to have this checked regularly and take care of it with ointment, covering it for showers and things.”

“It looks so sore,” Tanner said and she felt her head pounding, the nausea kicking in.

“Jackson,” she said and gripped his hand.

“You’re going to be sick again?” he asked.

“Yes,” she said and she could hear the men cursing, heard the doctor tell them it was okay and that more testing would be done. Then she heard her sisters and their concern. She was dry heaving, and gripping Jackson’s arm. When nothing came up she coughed and moaned.

“Oh please, please stop the pounding,” she begged and rocked her body. She felt them move, heard the doctor say a few things and then she passed out.
